Joe is a filmmaker and artist based in London. His previous films include a documentary for Channel 4 News about the drought and conflict in Northern Kenya and South Sudan. It was broadcast on Channel 4 last year and was executive produced by Federico Escher.

Before that his previous films included The Victory Arch, which was a documentary charting the sculptural ambitions of Saddam Hussein as he attempted to use British foundrymen to create his own cultural legacy in Iraq. The film tells the story of the men who built the biggest statue of Saddam Hussein ever made, and what it can tell us about the history of Britain and the Middle East. He produced and directed the film, it was shot on location in Iraq and was executive produced by BAFTA winning filmmaker Olly Lambert.

As well as his directing credits, Joe has also worked as part of a team on a number of films for broadcasters including Channel 4, BBC, ITN, National Geographic and Paramount Plus. Most recently he was part of an Emmy-nominated series on pioneering medical technology and the Nobel Prize.

As well as this, his photography and prints have been exhibited widely, as well as published in numerous magazines and online publication.
